Bhavan-Bangalore Press School is the latest from the Bhavan Quality School Initiative. It manifests the Bhavan Enterprise coming together towards a social cause. The school is located in a busy densely populated locality in Chamrajpet on the Mysore Road, on land generously made available by The Bangalore Press. This school will follow the ICSE based curriculum.

This unique school strives to blend the heritage, culture, values and wisdom of India with the constantly changing needs and aspirations of modern society. It seeks to develop every student into a human who has self pride, is self reliant, is socially sensitive, a responsible citizen and is proud of his heritage.

The basic approach is guided by the fact that every child is gifted with a ‘unique’ potential, which, with appropriate inputs, can be developed into competence. Character development and ingraining of values assume paramount significance in this process and Bhavan believes that it can make a significant contribution through BQSI.

Bhavan-Bangalore Press school will combine the advantages of a ‘modern public school with those of the ‘Vidyalaya’ through a purposeful connect between the teacher and the pupil.

The school is guided by Dr. Rajeshwari Raghu, M.Ed., M.A. Ph.D. (Pittsburgh, USA), Director of the Institution. She is an eminent educationist with an extensive administrative experience both in India and abroad and an active member of CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) and affiliated organization like NCERT (National Council for Educational Research and Training).

The School, designed for a ground plus five floors, will be a one-stop school for children from KG to 10th standard and to accommodate upto 1000 students.

Bhavan has applied to the Karnataka government for permission to start the school and in the meanwhile the construction work has started in full swing.

Bhavan- Bangalore Press School, a venture under Bhavan’s Quality School Initiative (BQSI), will admit all students irrespective of caste, creed,or gender. This new school will be affiliated to the Indian Council of Secondary Education, Delhi.
